Importance of Water - Dirty and Clean : The quality of the water is dependent on the environment. Water quality wold compromise if waste is released in the water bodies. This waste compromises water quality by polluting than making them unfit for consumption and other uses. At the same time, there are water-borne bacterias/microbes that would cause disease present. Pollution of the water also brings about foul smell, chronic health risks, environmental degradations and even Social and Economical impact.
Revolution of Microelectronics Technology : Asia is soon becoming the focal point of electronic (microchips) due to proliferation of gadgets and technology. And since the last century, the beginning of integrated Circuits (IC) have evolve and improve several folds. The first Integrated Circuits (IC) consists only of 1 transistor, 5 capacitor and some few other components whereas today there are hundreds of them. Electronic is pervasive. It enables — entertainment, transportation etc,etc. Basically most of the things in today's society are electronic!
Innovative breakthroughs in Nano-Science and Nano-technology : There are several technology considered Innovative breakthroughs in Nano-Science and Nano-technology which is — Nano technology, Bio technology and Defense Technology. Nano-science and Nano-Technology revolves around the key concept of "microscopic". It also have this key idea "Same volume->Smaller->More energy-> Do more things.
IT for Animation : Animation are divided into several categories namely — stop motion, 2D animation and 3D animation. How IT helps animation is there are softwares that could be use to ease the workload of making different types of animation. 2D animation compared to 3D has higher budget, more skilled artists, labour intensive and beautiful art forms.
Disappearing glaciers, rising sea levels, and why gravity is even more important than you think: Sea-level rise will vary from location to location and they are constantly rising around 1.8mm/year. The explanation behind is Self-attraction and loading and is given by the formula F=Gm1m2/d^2
I choose this project I was always astonished by how electrical appliances work. I believed that this project is an alternative for me to learn more about how electrical appliances in great details hence I chose this project.
My role in the group is product programmer. I arranged different components of the product on the breadboard to make it function properly.
Some challenges I/we encounter when working on this project in the last 2 days is insufficient time to complete the task assigned to us. For example the reflection—as the schedule is tightly pack, there is not enough time for us to finish the reflection during that specific period of time, hence the chances of not completing the work is high.
How we overcome these challenges is actually cutting into our own time (during break or when at night just before we rest) to try finish up the work bit by bit.
Through this project, I/we discover that the convenience of technology we have today is actually not easily achieved. It is numerous attempts before technology become so helpful and convenient; the exact way we feel during the project.
As an individual, I have benefited from this programme in quite a few ways. One of which , most prominent in the project, is knowledge of electronic engineering — integrated circuit.
My aspirations is to ease the life of future generation through the convenience that technology can bring about by modifying the integrated circuits (ICs).
